Some call it pedantic – I call it thorough! I’m both a native English proofreader and a trained language professional with an eagle eye. Where other people skim-read, I do a deep-dive into your text over several reads, checking spelling, grammar, logic and more –so you can be confident that the end result does exactly what you want it to.

Monolingual proofreading

I can help you with monolingual proofreading (which means I only read the English text) of a wide range of texts, including academic papers, theses and dissertations; business texts for various purposes; social media posts; websites; print materials; subtitles.

Working with a native English proofreader like me is especially important if you’re a non-native speaker of English. I’ll flag any ambiguities, inaccuracies or suggestions to you either during the proofreading process or upon delivery, so you have the opportunity to fix any issues and then publish or submit with confidence.

Proofreading of translations

This is where my proofreading career began – a two-stage (minimum) review of German to English and Italian to English translations completed by my fellow linguists: first, comparing the source text to the translation, then re-reading the English as a standalone text.

What this means for you: you can be confident that your final English translation accurately reflects your German or Italian source text while sounding natural and attractive to your target audience.
